| Posted: | | | | Problem solved. Somehow my router had switched to public and was not discoverable to their devices on my network. All working perfectly now |

| Posted: | | | | Same problem here when I got a new modem. "Public" was selected but "Private" was unchecked on my Windows Firewall list for DVD Profiler application. |

| Posted: | | | | As a longtime DVD Profiler for iOS user but a new DVD Profiler for PC user, I thought I'd share my experience on this issue. I too had my local network set as PUBLIC, so I couldn't initially connect with my iPad. It was not a router issue but rather a Windows 10 issue. I found this helpful link that showed me how to set my local network to PRIVATE.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/make-a-wi-fi-network-public-or-private-in-windows-0460117d-8d3e-a7ac-f003-7a0da607448d
While this solved my iPad problem, I was still unable to connect with my iPhone running iOS 16. I checked the DVD Profiler preferences in Settings on my iPhone and noticed that the Local network switch was set to OFF. After I set it to ON, it connected properly. It is unclear why this was set differently from my iPad which was running iPadOS 16. Interestingly, I did not have this problem on my iPhone or iPad running iOS 12 since there were no DVD Profiler preferences listed in settings. |
