How are people working out if HDR 4K discs are HDR-10 and/or Dolby Vision?
Some seem to have the information on the case (which at least seems a fair starting point as it is doubtful they could get away with claiming it and it not being there - though not impossible!). But others seem to not claim either - or any other competing standard, come to that... eg. the new UK Black Panther release says it is HDR but the case and disc don't specify any type, resulting in some sources claiming neither for the UK but Dolby Vision on the US release, and I personally wonder if they would use different picture encodings.
Any thoughts/help/guidance/pointers at where this has all been discussed before/etc. appreciated! | | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

For HDR, it will show it when I select info for my 4K player. Another way is other sources. | | Posted: | | | | HDR10 is the mandatory baseline HDR technology on UHD blu-ray discs, while Dolby Vision is an optional extra. Hence if nothing is specified, it's safe to assume you're dealing with HDR10.
