| Posted: | | | | Hi.
I just went from Android to iOS, and now the DVDProfiler app does a complete update of every image every time I sync with the desktop. Not the profiles, though, With over 10,000 profiles it does take a while.
I haven't changed any settings in the app either, and I can't seem to find any setting related to images (other than size).

I bring changes down from DVD Profiler for PC to the iPhone/iPad mobile apps weekly. That being said, I have two suggestions. I would first perform a full database repair with the DVD Profiler for PC application via "Tools->Options->Utilities->Repair Profile Database". I have a feeling that might do the trick. If not, you could also try deleting the database on the mobile device, then creating it again and perform the database update. Good luck. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | I noticed whenever I sync my ipad with the pc, it didn't matter which pc I had the app on, the program ate up 2 gig or so more space than it consumed before an update. after running a cleaning utility to free up the space its back down to its 5.x gig usage on the pad. its a pain since I should of bought a bigger storage ipad and I didn't when I bought it. so I can see what the orig poster is saying, it does transfer a ton of data back to the device. and I have done db rebuilds and such with the same results.
its like it needs to recopy it all back down to the device and doesn't know to purge the old data off it until the device runs out of space and does a self clean or when I do one manually. |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to hear of both your experiences. If I ever experience the same I'll be sure to chime back in. I just haven't. I've been using DVD Profiler heavily for the past year or two pulling updates down from two different databases to multiple mobile devices several times a week. Both DVD Profiler and my mobile apps continue to stay on the same page. Then again, both my databases are only in the neighborhood of 2,000 profiles each. Perhaps the issue you've both described is more prone to happen with larger databases. It might even be a known issue. Not sure. Perhaps a forum search might prove fruitful. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection |

I updated everything, changed one image and tried again. It still insists on updating every image. I'll try to delete the database in the app, and try again.

| Posted: | | | | Good luck. That has to be annoying. Hopefully starting with a clean slate on the mobile app side will help. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | I just remembered that I've disabled back images on this one (not having any external storage on the iPhone). Could that have something to do with this? | | | |

| Posted: | | | | i started to redo my entire collection since I think I caused several issues with bulk importing a bunch of data into it. so far I have added in just over 700 bluray titles and I did a clean load of the app and connected it and did a sync then synced again for giggles and it didn't pull back in the images again like it used to. time will tell if this stays that way as I add in more titles. |
