| Posted: | | | | Are there issues with the mobile DB not updating. I'm trying to update the mobile version and it's taking a very long time and not completing. Tried updating today and after 10 or 15 minutes it seems to finish and update but only get a few hundred movies. It should have had to only download about 20 updates. Tried it over LTE as well as the WiFi at work. It worked the last time I tried downloading from the on-line database. |

| Posted: | | | | Last time I tried took about 2 hours to run and managed to get 2200 of the 2600 titles, though it told me the import was complete. It seems like it's trying to download the entire DB every time and seems like it's taking much longer than the initial load. |

| Posted: | | | | Finished this morning and got all but one wishlist item. Still not perfect, but at least it's working better and only took 10 minutes. Rerunning it only took a few seconds and still one shy on the wishlist...probably something weird with whatever profile it is. |

| Posted: | | | | I've started seeing the same issue in the last week or so; my collection has several thousand titles of which only a few hundred appear in the Android app after I download from DVD Profiler Online.
There are no error messages during the download process; it appears to complete normally.
I've deleted and re-created the database three or four times (sometimes on external SD card, sometimes on internal storage), and even uninstalled/reinstalled the app, but nothing seems to help.
As far as I can tell, my online collection is correct; the issue seems to be with the download on Android, not with the collection itself. | | | "...self-discipline isn't everything. Look at Pol Pot." —Helen Fielding, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason |

| Posted: | | | | Same issue here. My online collection has 1797 entries, but I get only 365 entries to my Android. I've also tried creating new database, and reinstalling the whole app, but nothing helps. The amount of entries I get varies a bit after creating new database or reinstalling, but it's never even close to downloading the whole collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Update: I installed DVD Profiler 4.0.0 beta and re-uploaded my collection from it, then opted into the Android beta, let the app update, and re-downloaded, and all went well: my complete collection downloaded as expected. Others facing the same issue may want to try the beta to see whether it has the same beneficial effect for them. Be sure to back up your 3.x database first! | | | "...self-discipline isn't everything. Look at Pol Pot." —Helen Fielding, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason |

| Posted: | | | | Similar problem here. Up until about a week ago, it worked fine. Now whenever I try to sync online, it just hangs, doing nothing other than draining my battery.
I noticed during this time that version 4.0 was released. Could there be a connection? |

| Posted: | | | | On further checking, I noticed that my android version of DVDP had auto-updated a day or so after my last successful sync. Syncing hasn't been possible since in the new version.
If I uninstall it to do a reinstall, will that wipe the database I have on the phone as well, or will that be left intact? |

| Posted: | | | | Android App crashed repeatedly during sync after desktop version was updated to v4. Had to uninstall the app on my phone and reinstall (paying yet again for the app). Note that I'd bought a new phone since initially buying the app. This seems to have solved my problem. | | | Last edited: by GCMiner |
