| Posted: | | | | I often find DVDs in charity shops etc. and carry a list with me to make sure I don't buy the same disk twice. Since I don't have a smartphone I've been using a list that I created as an HTML file then converted to epub for an ebook reader. I did this manually and it wasn't easy because the original report was a table, it takes too much time to do it every time I add more DVDs to my collection.
Is there any template that will make a report that is the titles and nothing else, as a flat text or HTML document rather than a table? If I can get that part sorted out the rest is fairly easy, it's the initial conversion that's slow because I have to do it by cut and paste etc.
Thanks! |

| Posted: | | | | As a starting point please read Share or export your DVD/BD-listPrinting a report as PDF might be the easiest and shortest way. (Don't know if eBooks can view XPS) Or you can go the XML/XSLT-way and create an HTML and convert that to epub, see signature. I would be willing to assist you with this. The downside however would be the number of steps needed every time you want to update your list. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | There is an old plugin of mine DVDProfileLoop, that creates output files, based on a custom script. One of the sample scripts generates a simple HTML report. The script could be modified to suit your needs. I haven't tested the plugin recently, so if you decide to try it, I would be willing to modify the script for you, as a way to do some necessary, long deferred testing.
Two other options: - Write an XSL script to work on an XML export (see Mithi's signature for some tools.) - Use CSV Export plugin to create a simple text file, either with or without further scripting. | | | Thanks for your support.
