If you are asking how to sort alphabetically, tap the Sort Icon (looks like a list with up and down arrows on the right - in the top middle of the screen on the iPhone) and select Title with the appropriate up or down arrow.

Some folks who add titles to DVD Profiler have no idea.  The number of titles listed under T for The as in The Border when it should be Border, The:

All UK DVD / Blu-ray releases ...

The Avengers: Series 1 - Episode 20 Tunnel of Fear (DVD)
The Best of '80s Scream Queens
The Border
The Case of the Bloody Iris
The China Syndrome
The Collector
The Dam Busters (recent 5-disc edition)
The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds
The Fortune
The Handmaid's Tale (1989)
The Mind of Mr. Soames
The Mountain of the Cannibal God
The Odessa File
The Old Dark House (1932)
The Passenger
The St. Valentine's Day Massacre
The Super Inframan

Also ...

The new Indicator Berserk! Is listed under "Berserk!" So it appears under " before the numbered listings.

The two Aussie Death Wish double bill discs ...

Death Wish II / Death Wish 3
Death Wish 4: The Crackdown / Death Wish V: The Face of Death

... are listed under C as Cannon Classics instead of the more logical D for Death Wish.

Actually, these titles are entered correctly. Sorting is handled by the sort title field, which is normally filled in automatically without the article.

In the desktop Profiler there is a setting (Tools/Options/Display "Append title aricles") that lets you have the titles displayed with the article last, e.g. Border, The.

As far as I know there is no such setting in the iOS Profiler, in case you're wondering (since you posted this in the iOS Technical Support forum), but they will be correctly sorted by the sort title.

Berserk and the aussie Death Wish titles that you mention are, in my opinion, incorrect as you say.

I do use the IOS version but there is no way that I'm aware of to force the sort to ignore the articles.  Surely folks can list them as "Border, The" to start with and it solves the problem?  As for the Death Wish discs someone needs to correct the listings.

Well, the title is not used for sorting, the sort title is.
I just checked on my iPad, and none of my profiles that start with "The" is sorted as The.
Have you actually checked how your profiles are sorted?

And the sort title for The Border is just Border, so it sorts under B as it should.

What I meant was, have you checked how your profiles actually get sorted when you select sort by title? For example, doesn't The Border end up under B?

How do I check this?  As far as I'm aware, I can't affect that; all of the titles I listed above are under T.

Well, I don't know what to say. It works fine for me, and I have never heard anybody else having this problem.
Perhaps someone else has an idea?

It's annoying, but I don't seem to have the sort title option.

Are you running iOS 10? This is a bug in DVDP. To get around it, select an entry, then go back to the list. The sort button will now be visible on the top of the window.

No, that's not the problem. From another post we can see that RMC is using the iPad, and the problem you describe is on iPhone only. Also, a previous post here shows that RMC can see the different sort options.

RMC, try this:

- In showcase mode, select sort by title
- Click the icon with the gears. Turn on "Show section headers"
- Enter the title in the search box.
You should see the profile in question, and the section header will show what letter it is sorted under. So in my example, the profile is sorted under "O" for Odessa, not under "T" for The.

You are right, though. In the iOS Profiler you cannot see or modify the sort title. But it is there, believe me. As far as I'm concerned, the iOS Profiler is great as an extension of the desktop Profiler, but rather limited as a stand-alone app.
