| | Posted: | | | | Anybody know why? It used to work (last time i used it was a year back i think) but now doesn't. DVD Profiler just doesn't show the drive having a disc inside. Windows recognizes that it has a disc inside, but when i open it, its just empty and says to drag/drop files there  I might have changed the sata -cable places on the motherboard, but can that really make a difference? |

I've never actually used the BD drive (apart from DVDP) so its hard to actually test if it works on other programs. Does anyone know a good Blu Ray Player? been meaning to get one eventually anyway.

I might have changed the sata -cable places on the motherboard, but can that really make a difference? Yup, had that too a few days ago. Found a workaround though. What doesn't work: From the edit window trying open the drive with the open drive button, insert, then read the disc that you inserted when that edit window is open. Message: no disk or something alike. What does work: just have DVDp in 'rest', that is no edit window or whatever open. Open the BD drive (the usual button at the front panel), insert the disk and close. The drive will now spin, the system recognises the BD drive and disk and DVDp tries to recognise the disk. Does not matter. Now open the edit window at the appropriate profile and you can read the disk ID. | | | Eric

Yup, had that too a few days ago. Found a workaround though.
