DVDProfiler sometimes (maybe allways?) freezes when I do the following (Windows Vista SP2):

- Select a dvd from my list
- Click the "add new dvd" button
- Close the window that appears
- Immediateley click "DVD" in the menu while DVDProfiler seems to be still working (recalculating collection list?)
- DVDProfiler freezes and I have to close it manually.

Well at least I guess this is what I did, but at the moment I am not able to reproduce it. All I know for certain is that there where two instances where profiler crashed when I clicked "DVD" in the menu...
Recently bought films:

The Matrix [Blu-ray] | Shirins Wedding [DVD] | The Graduate [Blu-ray] | Prometheus [Blu-ray 3D] | Hwal [DVD]

definitely  your Vista computer reacting to  Invelos Profiler  ( as well as other programs too I bet you)..

start by shutting down opened programs running under start/ run - msconfig  and also look for updates for both your windows and your video cards ..

let us know ..

thanks

And then there is the proven recipe of performing a database repair, if you haven't done so yet.

Vista?
I would heartily recommend a move to Windows 7 or later. No joke.

it seems to now reset to Basic. You need to tick Full for removal of unused cast and crew.

I use Windows 8.1 and I can also observe DVDP freezing behavior in the context of the opening of the menu.

It's when I start DVDP and it appears and I immediately click into any menu, DVDP will freeze.

I guess there's some kind of feedback loop when plugins are still initializing and adding new menu entries to the menus of DVDP and also the button toolbars.

This was the temporary result of a bit of overzealous SQL optimization, now fixed.

I still keep getting the program locking up (not responding) after it's open a certain time, and usually when I'm opening a profile. I'm not having it occur with other programs.

Sometimes I can "manually" close the program, but at other times I can't even get it to close in Task Manager, etc.. I eventually just have to reboot, and then when I open the program again it gives the message about it not closing properly and recommending that a database repair be run. It gives me that message even if I can close it manually also.

I'm not sure if this is the same exact problem as the original poster, but I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit)
Corey
