| Posted: | | | | DVDProfiler sometimes (maybe allways?) freezes when I do the following (Windows Vista SP2): - Select a dvd from my list - Click the "add new dvd" button - Close the window that appears - Immediateley click "DVD" in the menu while DVDProfiler seems to be still working (recalculating collection list?) - DVDProfiler freezes and I have to close it manually. Well at least I guess this is what I did, but at the moment I am not able to reproduce it. All I know for certain is that there where two instances where profiler crashed when I clicked "DVD" in the menu... | | | Recently bought films:

start by shutting down opened programs running under start/ run - msconfig and also look for updates for both your windows and your video cards ..

| Posted: | | | | I use Windows 8.1 and I can also observe DVDP freezing behavior in the context of the opening of the menu.
It's when I start DVDP and it appears and I immediately click into any menu, DVDP will freeze.
I guess there's some kind of feedback loop when plugins are still initializing and adding new menu entries to the menus of DVDP and also the button toolbars. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I still keep getting the program locking up (not responding) after it's open a certain time, and usually when I'm opening a profile. I'm not having it occur with other programs. Sometimes I can "manually" close the program, but at other times I can't even get it to close in Task Manager, etc.. I eventually just have to reboot, and then when I open the program again it gives the message about it not closing properly and recommending that a database repair be run. It gives me that message even if I can close it manually also. I'm not sure if this is the same exact problem as the original poster, but I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit) | | | Corey |
