| Posted: | | | | I opened DVDProfiler and added a new tag. I edited some of the profiles to activate my new tag. This took about 3 days where the profiler was opened. After finished editing profiles i wanted to make a backup.
Then the Profiler crashed. I did a dbrepair with option full. Now i can start the profiler again and my edited profiles have the tag. so far so good.
But all profiles have no more cast & crew in it. I can manually update it from invelos to get it back. But only profile after profile. (Online -> Refresh DVD from Invelos -> Refresh Profile Only).
If i click "Refresh Updated Profiles" it tells me that all profiles are up to date. |

| Posted: | | | | I cannot add anymore releases to my wishlist. If do so, the app crashes with following message: I tried a fully dbrepair but that didnt helped. Adding releases to owned-list is working. Moving disc from owned to wishlist or the other causes profiler to crash but moves the release... Can anyone help? |

Just a wild guess: Is it the case that after a re-install of Windows you simply pointed DVDProfiler to the already existing database of the "old" installation? If so, please check access-rights (and "ownership") of your database folder. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I just downloaded (nice server you have there) and imported your database.
The backup didn't contain/restore any crew/cast data. Moving items from one category to another just works fine, other tested functions (Download, editing, creating) worked without noticeable problems.
So, most likely, the problem is located in the cast/crew-section of the database (where the original problem after crash occured).
If you have an older backup-file (from before the crash) try the following:
Create a new (and empty (!)) database. Import the backup-file Do some testing if this fixed the problem
if it didn't
I'm afraid you'd need to re-install DVDProfiler (Please (after uninstall) manually remove all registry entries referring to DVDProfiler and/or Invelos).
If you don't have a backup-file from before the crash, you may try these suggestions anyhow, but you'd need to refresh Cast/Crew data afterwards and may lose some custom links. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | How can it be, that there is no cast & crew in it? Its a Full Backup and all Cast & Crew is in int.
Thats the only Backup i got. It overwrites it itself.. I will try a new database and import them.
New clean database worked fine. All data is restored from backup (incl. cast&crew).
Lets hope it works from now on. | | | Last edited: by F1Database |
