Hi. I have loaded DVD Profiler onto my laptop but when I double click the film title it doesn't bring up the preview changes page - i have to go into the Online menu, DVD Refresh, etc., which takes ages when I've quite a lot of changes to make (manually) to the database.

I've re-loaded the software, used the database repair facility, but still doesn't work.

A suggestion in the forum was to change the 'Contribute Prompt' in the registry to '1'. I checked the registry in regedit but there is no 'Contribute Prompt field (also checked on my PC where the preview changes does work and there is no 'Contribute Prompt' here either).

I've removed the link to the registry and reloaded the software, but it still doesn't work.

Any suggestions are therefore much appreciated.

Thanks

A warm welcome to you, bcfc.

Thanks for the welcome.

After a couple of frustrating hours trying to sort the problem, I have found the solution now - rather simple and a bit by accident.

Because I have not used the laptop for adding a title, only the PC, I guess the software had never downloaded the information needed. Once a title was added, all now works fine.

Thanks to anyone who's tried to think of a solution.

Cheers.

It's not quite clear to me exactly what you're referencing but I'll take a shot at trying to provide a possible solution.

Under Tools -> Options -> Defaults, make sure Double-Click Collection Entry is set to Edit Profile.

Any time you double click on a title it will go to the edit profile pop-up.  If an update is available for said title it will prompt you to refresh the profile before editing.  If you select Yes then the profile preview page will load.  This will only occur where an update exists for a profile.

To refresh your Online Profile List select Online -> Refresh Online Profile List.
