Not sure about pictures, but the first step should be: Tools -> Options -> Display and activated 'Use HTML for notes' | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you that worked. Now is there to edit all at once otherwise I'll have to find a week or two to edit all my entries | | | www.daves-world.co.uk |

| Posted: | | | | Depends a bit on what item(s) you want to edit. To edit multiple profiles, flag each one to which it should apply (CTRL-A to flag all). For a test run, flag just 2 and see what you can do. If need be, restore those two from your back-up.
After flagging the appropriate profiles, use the menu Collection -> Flagged ->... to see what can be done. For instance, setting locks, watched by etc.
Also, you can edit one profile to your liking and set it to be copied (menu DVD -> Copy). Then flag all other appropriate profiles and use paste (menu Collection -> Flagged -> Paste...) and you can select what to copy to the others. Note 1: do not use DVD->Paste, that only copies to one profile. Note 2: be sure to tick the small box at the top of the paste window to confirm a copy to all flagged profiles.
Happy editing! | | | Eric

You had HTML in Notes and now that this is turned on everything should be as it was on the old system. Can you post an example of what exactly you need to edit? cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | You could use the Bulkedit plugin. It is sort of like a spreadsheet for editing profile fields, including notes.
But in case you didn't notice, what you have done already should work for all notes - not just in the profile you were working on at the time - but I'll bet you figured that out already. | | | Thanks for your support. cya, Mithi All the file location paths in the notes section are different, for image etc. | | | www.daves-world.co.uk | | | Last edited: by Hom3r |

All the file location paths in the notes section are different, for image etc. Ah, I see, because XP had a different structure for the user-data-folders. In that case mediadogg's BulkEdit is exactly the way to go. It is a very mighty tool so there also is a bit of a learning curve, but totally worth it, trust us! Plugin, Forum-Thread for BEBulkEdit has (amongst other things) a search and replace function with which you can manipulate all the Notes[1] and replace all those pesky "C:\Documents and Settings\$YourUsername" with "C:\Users\$YourUsername". cya, Mithi [1] I say all, but for performance reasons you shouldn't do it in one step but e.g. 50 or so profiles at a time. And be absolutely sure to make a database-backup beforehand, with great power comes great screwup. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
