As a user of the free version of DVD Profiler for a number of years, I finally became a paid & registered user and look forward to contributing what I can.

I can't promise that I'll be very active here on the Forums, but I fully intend on submitting as many things as possible to the database that I own which may not already be present - though judging from my first attempt at correcting an existing profile, it may take a while to get used to at first.

TL;DR: Hello.

Welcome to the club. Most are fairly friendly round here and if you're unsure about anything when it comes to contributing feel free to ask in the forums.

Welcome aboard!

I have one piece of advice: don't take "negative votes" too seriously.

While we welcome all who are willing to contribute to the database (since the database would be nothing without people willing to give their free time to do so,) the rules can often be confusing, and sometimes a contribution gets declined due to minor mistakes. Don't take it personally. If you don't understand what you did wrong, like Lithurge said, you can just come on and ask. You can always try again.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.

Thank You.

Indeed the rules are a little confusing, but I do understand that negative votes aren't personal. From what was explained to me, I was mistaken in my interpretation of what counts as an Overview.

My interpretation was that it was almost the entire text on the back cover, even if it didn't include a plot synopsis.

Good to hear.  It can be somewhat overwhelming at first, but won't be long until you get the hang of it.  And while the vast majority of people are supportive and helpful you will run across some that aren't so pleasant, just don't pay attention to them if that happens.

The rules are far from perfect and unclear in some circumstances, usually in those cases you can find something in the forums about how to handle them.
