| Posted: | | | | Hi! It's possible to import the movies and dvd data? I'll try to explain: sometimes there are different versions of a movie (with different barcodes) but with the same technical data, cast and crew (maybe with different cover of the dvd). If i need to create a new entry but the barcode is not present in your database, may I create a new profile with "my" barcode importing the data form another profile barcode? Hope that you'll understand what I mean, sorry for my not perfect english. Thank you in advance... |

| Posted: | | | | That's easy:
1st you simply add a profile with the "wrong" barcode
Then you select the profile and select DVD -> Change UPC and DVD -> Change Locality (if need be).
Afterwards you just need to adapt the profile where necessary (e.g. your own cover scans, correct currencies and so forth).

| Posted: | | | | Just keep in mind that if you plan on contributing to the online database with this info... you still need to check stuff like cast and crew to the film's actual credits.... for a few reasons...
- It is fairly rare... but different releases can have different credits (we have seen this happen) - People simply do make mistakes - Not all info in the online is in there per the rules... there is still info taken from sites like imdb and other sites that is against the invelos rules (per credits only)
Also if you want to submit... remember to keep note of the profile you copied and supply the UPC number of the profile you copied in your notes... there has been many declined because they didn't give them the UPC number they copied the info from. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | It is easy if you don't want to contribute the info. Still easy if you do in my opinion. Just a little more involved. But it still saves a lot of time compared to starting from scratch. | | | Pete |
