| | Posted: | | | | Example: Set listview to Thumbnail view. Select a movie and enter the cast detail. select an actor. You will be at a screen where you'll see the movies where the actors is in. This list is always in the "details view". When you go back to the main listing, this listing is also in the details format.

You have main listing in thumbnail view
cast or crew detail for individual that shows persons associated titles (which is in details view)
when you go back to the main view, it has been reset to details view. it does not maintain the previous setting |
