| Posted: | | | | I just downloaded 2.0 to my iPod but am holding off on the iPad for one reason: I've been without a PC now since July, so all my collection updating has been done exclusively on my iPad. I'm nervous that if something goes wrong with the installation or initial sync, then five months' data will be lost since I have no current backup.
Do I have to worry about this? Just in case, I plan on taking screenshots of new acquisitions, but that won't be a reasonable task for tracking what's been sold.
Help me, Obi-Wan KenCole, you're my only hope. |

| Posted: | | | | We've done a significant amount of testing with upgrades from 1.1.3, but if you want to be cautious, you could wait for feedback from other users. After you upgrade, be sure to use the DVD Profiler Online integration to upload your collection so you'll have a current backup. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | I just installed DVD Profiler 2.0 for iOS on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Starting it the first time it updated the database for the new features and I added then also media banners. Both updates went smooth without any problem. I really love the showcase on the iPad, it's fantastic, also the informations popup when you tap to a cover, great job Ken :-). I will test now more, I have 4'200 Blu-ray and DVD in my database.

| Posted: | | | | I updated to 2.0 just fine on my iPhone 5 too. I am just wondering whether I should change my Connection Type from DVD Profiler for PC to DVD Profiler Online. Syncing to PC I am sure I get all may data Synced. Anyone knows if we will lose anything by syncing to Online Collection? Also, is it possible to "Refresh Updated Profiles" on the iOS or from our Online Collection? |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, Ken and others. I played with it on my iPod until I felt comfortable. This morning I too the plunge and updated my iPad app and it worked pretty flawlessly. There was a hiccup/scare for a minute but it worked out fine.
I must say, much as I like some of the UI enhancement and inclusion of new features, what's most subtly and quietly impressive how smoothly this integration has worked. That can't have been easy! |
