on the forum overview page is a New Posts sign for Announcements, with Last Post November 3, 2012 10:23 PM.
But when I enter Announcements there is no new post (last June 23, 2012 9:09 PM, the DVD Profiler 3.8.1 announcement).
Why am I excluded from Announcements (I have not blocked Ken Cole)? And what has been announced yesterday?

it was one of the errors that sometimes occurs in this forums.
For some reason the software sometimes creates Phantoms.
Usually this only gets noticed on the less used forums (like "Announcements"). | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

There must be a secret circle, I assume the hidden announcements are only for Americans. | | Posted: | | | | I may be wrong ("likely wrong," actually) but I believe it happens not so much as an out-of-nowhere bug but instead when a post is edited anywhere within a forum. I say this only as I recall finding what I thought to be evidence of it on one occasion.
However, since only staff can edit posts that are more than 3 days old, and all of the sections are active enough that recently-edited posts would go unnoticed against the new posts made each hour, it would be difficult to distinguish the two as the initial culprit. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

The circle is so secret I didn't even know I was a member!?!  I don't check the forums page that often - I usually just go right to the today's active page and my pms - so I never noticed these phantom pages. |

Nope,

If the last post was from a blocked user you just wouldn't be able to read the post. I see. Well I can't see those posts either, so I should have figured that out.
