| Posted: | | | | I hope this has not already been requested, I searched first I would really like to see a new entry field in crew for Special Effects. I am a huge fan of horror movies and would love to be able to filter all my movies by a certain Make-Up/Special Effects member. | | | DVD Profiler user since October 1, 2004 |

| Posted: | | | | Even better: Why not give us the possibility to add professions ourselves? ATM, we have to work-around restriction by assigning a proxy, i.e. Producer for several non-Executive production jobs. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm very happy that the current crew roles are standardized. I do not want free form (user defined) role names. I do not want to make a difference between "director", "directed by", "regie", "a film by" etc. when all I want to know is who has directed the film. I would even go so far as to claim it unreasonable to make a difference between "cinematographer" and "director of photography". Both are actually the same, both are the same job which has of course envolded during history and also changed its name.
I want to make sure, with the help of those standard role names, that a skin (called HTML window now) or a report could show a subset of the crew, like only show directors, no matter whether they are credited as "director" or "directed by".
I would support to add some (few) new role names ("casting" and "costumes" spring to my mind). But I would not like to go down the road for full crew credits as credited, loosing the semantics of the standard roles. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with RHo on the fact about not adding user-defined dispositions, as they would lead to a lot on ping pongiing on the profiles (kinda like it was when sort titles were public) but I do wanna see some new entree fields,
Makeup, cast, costumes, etc. as I belive these are important parts of some films. | | | DVD Profiler user since October 1, 2004 |
