Could someone advise if the curant iOS will work with iPhone 3GS

Yes, 3Gs is supported at present, and will be supported with the upcoming version 1.2.  Future updates after that may not be supported on the 3Gs (we don't always have control of that).

However, DVD Profiler desktop will always function with whatever latest version runs on your iPhone/iPad.
