| Posted: | | | | Recently I tried adding the DVD “Get Smart” but when I scanned the UPC code, I got the message Profile Not Found. I went to add the title manually and I found several listings for the DVD. The list did not include the DVD cover that mine has. I thought I would contribute this DVD after I had manually added it to my collection. I missed the rule where it says nothing can be added if imdb was used, so it was rejected. I have looked through the forums on how to just contribute cover art or new UPC’s but haven’t been able to find what I was looking for. Can someone tell me if it is possible to just contribute these two items and if so, where to go to read how to do it? Thanks! |

Here's a direct link for you: http://www.invelos.com/dvdpro/contributions/Rules.aspxContributing at first can be daunting and difficult due the rule set, but if you persevere, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it and will be a productive member of the community in no time. If you're still unsure about something, please don't hesitate to ask in the contributions forum. If it is a brand new contribution, meaning it doesn't exist in the database at all, then no, there is no way to just contribute those two items. Unfortunately, new contributions are 'all or nothing'. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. You can always contribute a new profile with UPC or disc ID by Title / scans / and/or bare bones cast/crew .. It doesn't have to be all or nothing ... You'll scare off any new contributions... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

Of course, you get out what you put in. I recently decided to stop doing cast/crew as too many annoyances for example. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

| Posted: | | | | However, if the OP has already entered all of the other info in the profile there is no easy way to contribute a new profile with just the minimum info. As TheMadMartian stated it's all or nothing; you can't select individual items to contribute like you can for existing profiles.
The OP could:
1) Back up the individual profile or export the individual profile to a Profile File 2) Remove all info but the minimum requirements for a new profile 3) Contribute the new profiler 4) Restore the individual profile in step 1 |
