| Posted: | | | | There's a little bug (Please fix the "Cand send updates" one first !! It's far more important !) in the whole program concerning accents :
- When browsing the collection, using title sort, é è ê (etc.) should be considered as 'e' same for à â .. -> 'a', 'ç' -> 'c', etc.
Example : l'Age de glace (French for Ice Age) is at the very end of my collection because it's named "L'Âge de glace"
- Another side of this bug is that when adding dvds by title, it makes the search very difficult (we very often omit the accents).. so, with the same example, I would search for "L'age de glace" and the software would return no result.
Usually, in string compare functions, it's usually a good idea to frst replace all accents with the corresponding non-accentuated letter.
--- speaking of adding the dvds by title.. a "begin with"/"contains" flag would be great... Cause right now, it's "begins with". but sometimes you don't know what to search, cases like "007 : Gold Finger" (searching "Goldfinger" will fail) |

I have nothing against accents except when it comes to searching. | | | My Home Theater |
