| Posted: | | | | I downloaded the iPod app and put in 120 of my DVDs. I decided to try out the PC version before I paid for it. I completed the steps to connect the iPod with the PC. I tried to sync the databases and it was almost finished when the PC software gave an error and stopped. I tried to sync a few more times and got an error on the PC asking if Microsoft Mobile Device Manager was installed and running. I was puzzled by this because I had almost completed the initial database synchronization. I downloaded and installed Microsoft Mobile Device Center but did not see a way to configure it to work with the iPod. Now when I try and sync the devices the PC give an error that reads "Please make sure your Pocket PC is connected via Mobile Device Manager and try again.". |

| Posted: | | | | I think you are using the wrong synch method. What you are using is the synch method for a Windows mobile device. You need to go under Tools then Options and set up sharing. Make sure you set it up to allow for sending changes. Once you do that, you can go into the IOS version and click on the databases button and then select your database. Then click on the "Connect to DVD PRofiler for the PC".

You should uninstall the mobile device software also, it is not needed by the ios deviice or DVD Profiler and it will run several services in Windows that use processor cycles. | | | Tom

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the information. I was able to get the database to sync from my iPod. Once I had everything the way I liked it, I reassigned the collection numbers by title. I see that my first item is collection number 2. I tried to change the number and it said that 1 was in use by - . I don't know if that is a bug as the result of the renumbering. I know that before I renumbered the collection my first item was number 1. Only a few items were renumbered, just disks of a series that were added to the database out of sequence. |

| Posted: | | | | It was on the desktop version that renumbered everything. I have run it multiple times and each time I end up with no number 1 but it says that it is in use by - (a hyphen).
Also, I can not connect to the PC using the name but I can using the IP Address. I was wondering if it is because the name has a hyphen in it. |

| Posted: | | | | Collection #1 could be a disc that is part of a box set. Child profiles don't show up in the regular list. |
