| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I have recently purchased DVD Profiler on the App store and am currently using my iPhone to catalogue my collection. I have been looking for just such an app for some time, but nothing really seemed to offer what I wanted. I was cautious of the purchase (it's a pretty steep price, by App store standards, but I am very pleased so far...
However, as a Mac user, I will be using the iOS app exclusively. I have no intention of installing a Windows partition and therefore will never have the opportunity to use the desktop app. In fact, I have no need of the information on my desktop computer...
It would be very nice, however, to have the information entered into DVD Profiler available on both my iPhone and iPad. I suspect, since the release of DVD Profiler on the App store, that there are plenty of other users in my position.
Perhaps this could be achieved through Dropbox or MobileMe? I don't really know the technical ins and outs of this, but it seems to work well in other apps. As an added benefit, users would then have a backup of all the data they have entered...
Cheers,
Steve. |

In the meantime you could try running DVD Profiler for Windows on your Mac via Crossover. Both programs offer free versions, so you won't waste any money if it doesn't work. It's worth a try since the desktop version has quite a few features missing in the (still great) iOS version. |

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not really interested in that. As I said, I have no real need for this information on my desktop, it would just be nice to have it synced across my iOS devices... Cheers,
Steve. Looking for exactly the same thing! Used my iPhone to scan everything in and would love to have that all on my iPad now. Fingers crossed that this feature comes "soon"... |
