Some is using only iOS app with no desktop sync so to have the peace of mind of a backup copy which can be seen under apps/data in iTunes that can be copied to any desktop system would be great. |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, it is but this allows you to restore only DVD Profiler without having to restore your entire phone. And if you have an issue with the program that cannot be repaired if you don't use the desktop version, you can restore an older copy you backed up.
Most people set iTunes to sync the moment you plug in so it will sync the corrupted database so a restore from iTunes will only restore the corrupt data, that is why even DVD Profiler on PC allows 2 copies of backup in case you need to roll back to an earlier working backup. |

Maybe it could be achieved with the file sharing option in iTunes. Usually this option is used to transfer documents but the Broken Sword games use that option to install additional language packs. So, obviously it is possible to share large files that are integrated in an app. Of course the database in DVD Profiler could work in a way that simply doesn't allow file sharing.
Syncing to the online database is more important to me, but when that feature is implemented a backup/restore option would be nice too. |
