| Posted: | | | | Hey I was looking to play with the additional collections part of the 3.7 software.
I looked in the help file and didn't see anything on the settings or really anything on some of the new features. I would assume that the help file version is behind the program version ?
Any one know if there has been anything posted about setting these up? Some of the options have me scratching my head a little.

I do not know exactly what you want to do, but to "play" with additional collections, you have to go to menu : Tools>Edit Collection categories>Add I do not think that there is any help file about this, but the window is rather explicit. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry,
I have all my DVD's in the CaseLogic folders
So I have Books 1-5 and my DVD rack
I was looking to put the dvd's in the correct sub collection, the idea being that the main collection stays as is, and I have Sub collections for the location/books

| Posted: | | | | You can create custom categories - and if you mark them to be included in owned then it should stay in your owned category if that is where they are now (and they will also appear in the new category).
You can play around with it and see if it meets your needs. If you make sure that they are also included in Owned, then if it is not what you need, then you can always remove the new category that you created without hurting your collection as it is right now. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. | Posted: | | | | Thanks,
I tend not to tinker too much with the collection stuff because as my luck tends to run, things tend to go boom.

Even if the category is included in owned surely these profiles would be lost? | | | Paul |

It will prompt you to move the profiles before you delete the category, but if they are also in owned, moving them to owned does nothing. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. So they would not be lost. good to know... since the prompt in dvd profiler is to MOVE profiles to the different category I had assumed that they had indeed been moved and were only viewed within owned because the display of owned looked everywhere.. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Actually, you are right, you want to move them, not delete them. Deleting them from the Collection does delete them from the collection. If you move them to Owned (where they are already - thus making no changes), it allows to remove the custom collection. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |
