I am new to using DVD Profiler and its Forums.  I tried to find answers in the programs Help section and by searching the Forums which resulted in not found and request time outs.  I am attempting to get a better understanding on what all of the Sharing Options mean and how to set them up.

Specifically, I am attempting to use the "Share my collection on the network" for access only by computers on my home network.  It sounds as if this option will allow other computers on the network to access the centralized collection database on my computer, however I could not fund specifics on how exactly to access the shared collection from the other computers.  I set the options to using passwords, using the default port number and limiting access to my internal subnet.  Is there a client that I must use on the other computers?  Do I use an internet browser and point to the port?  Do I need to have some other windows options enabled to use this feature...???

Any explaination of the sharing features, their use and option configuration would be very useful.  I was not very impressed with the DVD Profiler Help...

THANKS !!!

DVDProfiler must be running on both computers. On the "main" computer open the database as usual. On the other(s), use select shared in the open database dialog.

I can't help with the actual question, but we all agree about the search function on the website. What most people use is Google, just narrow it down with this website. Either use the advanced option with Google or type: site:www.invelos.com in the search bar. That's the best way to search the forum.
