| Posted: | | | | Hi, I just bought a blu-ray box set with 8 Luc Besson movies and since it didn't exist in the database I'm trying to create it. But I have a problem since the movie "Nikita" in the box set has the same UPC (3-607483-163900) than the existing version that i also have but they do not share the same case. So I have two problems : - How can I add the new one to Owned so I can add it in the box set - How can I differenciate the two versions ? Thanks for your help |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, thanks, i'll look at the IDs And, in fact, i just spotted that it's all the brd that have a new "classic" blu-ray case but with the same upc than the older ones that were some kind of digipack |

| Posted: | | | | Change the UPC to the Disc ID: Pull down "DVD", "Change UPC..." Tick "Use disc ID from inserted disc" and click OK and then Yes. Attach this profile to your box set. Then download a new copy of the other profile. (You can copy one profile to the other, but the above way is probably simpler.) That will allow them to coexist in your local database.
(And welcome to the Forums!) |

| Posted: | | | | As long as the other one is in by UPC it don't matter if it is the same disc id. You can still create a profile for it using the Disc ID. It is no different then what we do for child profiles for TV Series. The disc IDs are part of the parent profile... but also in the database is the child profiles created with the disc IDs. Just uncheck "Download from Invelos" and create your profile.
Unless the other is in the system by Disc ID... then that one is in wrong.
If it is the way I think... the easiest way to do it... download the other profile for it... have the disc in your blu-ray drive and change the UPC to disc ID (DVD --> Change UPC)... then check Use Disc ID from Inserted Disc.
Then all you have to do is change everything that is different (new scans and double check the info). And then you should be able to upload it to main database like that. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Now here we have a spammer (cocolove) that is very hard to spot. The advertisement comes as "signature" but is in fact part of the message. For verification check: here | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
