| Posted: | | | | First some background. I use DVDP on two computers which cannot connect each other directly. In this case computer A is my primary computer where i do all editing. Computer B is just for secondary backup and for browsing my collection. I upload edited profiles from computer A to online collection and then download the online collection to computer B.
Since I always do my own scans, I lock them on computer A before upload so I don't forget to do it later. Now if I try to synchronize (download) collection to computer B and select "Download missing images" images doesn't load since locks have been loaded first and they "block" dowloading the images.
This means if I like to download missing images also I must first run synchronization without images, then remove image locks from all profiles and run "refresh all images.." and then lock all images again.
In my opinion synchronization should bypass locks. |

So if you have your personal covers local on one machine you can't download them on another because they are not online. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I have the same problem. IMO locks should not prevent correct synchronisation with your own collection, only unwanted database updates. So if the images need to be refreshed after a synchronisation, it should be allowed. But not just when doing a database refresh. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Nexus the Sixth |

Are you saying there should be an option where the system will ignore image locks if there is no local image? |

| Posted: | | | | Of course the system knows the difference if I've clicked on refresh or synchronise. And if it's optional, all the better. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

"Refresh Updated Profiles from Invelos" and "DVD Profiler Online" -> "Download" are two different functions. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
