| Posted: | | | | Ever since the change to a new server I've had a lot of problems connecting to invelos. Up until yesterday I couldn't connect at all and even today it doesn't resolve the IP to it's name. I'm not sure if this is contributing to my problem with DVD Profiler because now when I add a new DVD or update the profiles, it will download the profiles but not the images. I just added a new DVD (well old movie) and there is no image for it. I also tried refreshing my profiles and there were like 35 updated ones with maybe 5 of them having new images, but none of the images downloaded.
Any one else experiencing problems like this? | | | Last edited: by bigdog |

| Posted: | | | | This should have been solved. (according to this thread) Check if your PC is connecting to the correct IP (75.125.61.130). If not try the solutions given by Ken Kole in the thread above. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately the link to that thread doesn't come up (probably related to the same problem). When I type www.invelos.com into my browser, it shows 75.125.61.30 so it is partially getting there. I did also try to update my online profile and that errors out with a HTTP/1/1 301 Moved Permanently as well as not being able to download images, so I'm guessing there are still some issues somewhere.
I tried flushing the DNS caches on both of my machines as well as the router. I also ran the cache check/refresh app on OpenDNS site (who I use for DNS) so I'm at a loss at what else I can try. |

| Posted: | | | | If you type www.invelos.com in your browser and it gets replaced with 75.125.61.30, that means you are not getting the correct IP from your DNS server. Instead, you are getting the old IP. The old server is still up for one more month, redirecting to this site. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Actually www.invelos.com gets replaced with http://75.125.61.130 so something is not resolving it correctly.
I did look in my hosts file and found 2 entries which I don't recall putting in there for invelos:
74.53.166.114 invelos.com 74.53.166.114 www.invelos.com |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting DJ Doena: Quote: Please remove all invelos related lines from that file and reboot your PC. For future reference, and time gain, after modification of the hosts file, you can open a command prompt (by running cmd.exe). If you then execute the command the command nbtstat -R, it will clear your host table in memory and parse the hosts file again. But it's a whole lot faster than a reboot You need to type the command with the R capitalized, as the option is case sensitive. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm
