| Posted: | | | | I uninstalled dvd pro and erased every trace of it from my hard drive. I reinstalled it and downloaded my profile. So now when I try to refresh all images. I get an error message. It makes me do them one at a time. It says to check my internet connection, but nothing is wrong there. HELP! | | | http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/sideffx |

I suspect the servers will be 'settling in' for a little while as minor problems are spotted and corrected... I assume this being the reason the Forums just went down for the last 10 minutes after being up and running. Edi: Thanks for the tip Ken, will do. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

| Posted: | | | | If you're still getting the old IP for invelos.com (74.53.166.114), DVD Profiler won't be able to communicate with the server. Once the new IP (75.125.61.130) is resolving, it should work fine.
To find out, run "PING www.invelos.com".
A reboot may resolve the issue, but depending on the status of your DNS server's update, it may take a bit longer. For the adventurous among you, you can bypass the problem immediately by adding the following line to your hosts file:
75.125.61.130 www.invelos.com
The hosts file is in your Windows directory under system32\drivers\etc\, and is named simply "hosts". It is a text file that can be edited in notepad.
After a day or so, be sure to go back and remove that line. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Same as Skip here; can't refresh today's online list or perform updates on specific profiles; possibly in my case it's work's proxy server that's retaining the old DNS though and I can't clear that out so will have to wait until it works itself out.
Anyone any idea how often that's likely to be on default settings?
Edit: Weird; if I manually try to get a profile to refresh the images it won't but if i delete the images and then try it it successfully picks up the new ones. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

I pinged and got the right the correct IP, Contributing worked fine, but download or checking an update fails.
For refernce the ping gave me a very crisp 68ms response time.

| Posted: | | | | Just tried Upload Collection Transfer...checks out OK.
The problem seems to be strictly on the download side.

| Posted: | | | | Just to update; I seem to be able to download updated images (either for newly added profiles or ones without images in my local) but can't download the profiles.
Ie. If I add a new title it fails to download the profile but succeeds in downloading the images for that profile... | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

| Posted: | | | | Same here: Uploads work fine / Downloads fail
Might this be related to the non-working SSL connections? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
