| Posted: | | | | Hi
New here and to program and have tried searching to no avail.
I added a Box Set of Robocop 1,2 & 3 to my collection but it didnt have any child profiles. Then i added each movie seperately by inserting the discs. Now I have 4 titles added, the boxset and the 3 movies. Can I merge the 3 movies into the boxset to make it 1 entry with 3 child profiles?
Still playing with the program but will be paying for full features very shortly as most of my DVDs are Region 4 and this is the only program i have found that will find Australian released DVDs just by entering the barcode. |

Here you can assign child profiles (in the section "boxset"), please make sure to remove incorrectly entered disc-IDs from the "Discs"-section. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Thank you, i was wondering what that feature was used for. It was staring me in the face and i still didnt see it. What do you mean about the disc IDs. The boxset details I d/led when i entered its barcode didnt have any disc ID in the Edit Profile/Discs section, but the single discs which I manually got by scanning the DVD contents has Disc IDs, do i need to change something? and should i contribute this boxset to Profilers online database? |

| Posted: | | | | What I meant is that sometimes you have boxset-profiles where the boxset content is entered incorrectly. Means: the parent profile has the content entered in the discs-section. These should be removed. There's no need to remove the Disc-IDs from the child-profiles, they are needed to identify the profiles if the DVD is in the DVD-ROM drive of your computer. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! OK so everything was right as there was no content in the discs section of the Parent profile. |

| Posted: | | | | OK.... so maybe I'm a little slow here, but I just started utilizing the "child profiles" feature. Before, I simply entered the main UPC of box sets but wasn't including the individual titles included in those box sets. I have run across a couple of box sets in my library that do not have the child profiles available from the DVD Profiler database. I want to add them, but unsure of the proper method. I have a "Shanghai Noon/Shanghai Knights" double-feature I purchased from Walmart. It's a single case with the 2 movies included on 2 separate discs. Do I add the movies by name to my collection then simply move them to the Box Set of the parent profile? Or is there another way I should be doing this? I also have the same issue with a "Rodgers & Hammerstein" box set. It's a THINpak of three movies (each movie has it's own disc in its own THINpak case) and these 'child profiles' are not available yet in the DVD Profiler database. Thanks in advance! |

Basically that's how it's done, just make sure to change all profile relevant data (UPC / scans / locality / release date / SRP / etc ...) to the correct values. Don't forget to verify the cloned data against the actual DVD data. So all in all it's possibly the better method to do the profile from scratch. But first check if the child profiles really aren't present in the database: Highlight the parent profile and press "CTRL + F12" (online connection required) the programm now checks for the correct child profiles. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
