Warner chose to release this megahit in DTS HD Master instead of their usual Dolby TrueHD. Does anyone know why they chose to use a different company and if they will switch on other releases too?

I believe a poll was organized by WB, asking their customers which codec they prefered and DTS HD MA got the most votes, which is why as of now all new WB releases will be using that codec ... at least, that's what I read on the interwebs.

Personally, I think there is no difference in quality between PCM, DTS HD MA and Dolby TrueHD, as all three are lossless. PCM takes up more space because it doesn't 'pack' the audio (think of it as a zip archive that takes less space and is unpacked when used), but I don't know if there's a big difference between the other two.

Or maybe most voters have audio systems that can only decode DTS HD MA?

DTS-MA doesn't make you choose a soundtrack and sounds marginally better on legacy systems.

My copy has TrueHD. Bought in Norway, and the disc is the same release they have in UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia and Holland. I asume that since there are those contries rating symbols on the disc

It was released by Paramount in Europe and it's the theatrical cut, not the director's cut.

You are all lucky where you are. We were supposed to have it released last week here in New Zealand. But the company who had the rights for distribution went into receivership.
Apparently there is now a bidding war going on for the rights to release it from some other company.
Oh well, back to my "cough" version if I want to see it again anytime soon.

bad luck.
If you haven't opened it, then perhaps they will take it back so you can buy the Director's cut from the US?

Should buy the DC version anyway if in NZ. You will otherwise get the Australian version which is cut down.
