I'm not sure whether this is because I'm not using DVD Profiler correctly or because it's a lack in the functionalities of DVD Profiler, but I have a few issues with parent-child profiles in box sets:

I set a view date per disc of a set (so for each child profile). After watching all discs, when I filter by 'not viewed yet', I don't see the child profiles anymore but the parent profile (the box set) is still visible. Is there a way to make it so that when each individual child profile has a 'viewed by' date, the parent profile also gets one?

I have set all my box set parents set to a "watched date" from before I bought my first DVD (in my case 01/01/2000). This way I don't see them when I filter and when I do statistics I can ignore every watch event from that date.

After I've seen all child-profiled disc I set the parent to 'Watched' on it's purchase date.
a) it's easy because there is a button for it
b) I never watch any title on the day they arrive, so if watched-date and purchase-date are equal it has to be a parent-profile.
