| | Posted: | | | | I'm doing a bit of an update to the Linux info for running DVD Profiler. As part of this, I did a bit of testing with the various beta builds of DVD Profiler. Most behaved as I expected, but build 1195 ran without the "invalid floating point operation" that alway comes up when you start DVDP under Wine. Sadly, it came back again for subsequent builds. I'm hoping to find one or two people who are willing to install this build on their Linux or Mac machine to see if it runs without the error, and compare it with the current full release (build 1240). | | Posted: | | | | I just downloaded and tested the version and it is correct. I'm going to hazard a guess that you installed over an existing Wine installation, upon which you had last installed 1209? I found that installing over another beta version didn't work so well in Wine.
If I've guessed right, can you give it another go, but delete (or temporarily rename if you don't want to lose it) the /home/[user]/.wine directory? It would also be good if it were with the most recent Wine release (1.1.9).

I'll fiddle with it tomorrow (best done at work  ) I'll just smoke it all; i only use it so that I don't have to trust my memory of commands, etc. and to test with wine, of course On my mac, running DVDProfiler in wine, i've noticed (HA! "noticed") that every time i click on a window, the window jumps down about 12 pixels. like it was on an old-fashioned terminal. Excrutiatingly annoying. I'm assuming that it's something I've gotten mis-configured, but I can't find it for the life of me ... | | | | -fred |

It also still has my annoying "jump down" problem, which seems to be tied to mouse clicking and changing focus. | | | | -fred |

No "invalid floating blabla" message, but i can't sync (download) online with the local database (Error: "Access violation at address 0040328C in module 'dvdpro.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFFC."). |
