I am curious if there was ever a R1 dvd release of the theatrical cut of Halloween (2007, the Rob Zombie version) in widescreen?

I have it - and submitted in the Canadian locality. Most stores in my area only carried the Unrated version.

There's a US version as well, it's a flipper disc with WS on one side and FS on the other (I'm pretty sure, maybe both were on 1 side). I couldn't find it in the database, and couldn't make a profile as I had a copy from the library without the real cover. The second disc is the same as the unrated 2-disc, but the first disc has both ws & fs versions.

I just looked online and while amazon has it listed as FS only, take a look at the back cover at dvdempire: http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_item.asp?userid=99366334670740&item_id=1376924&tab=5&back=1&anchor=1#topoftabs
I just tried plugging in the UPC from that scan and it wasn't recognized, guess the's not much market for the rated theatrical version. Not positive if that's the same UPC the library disc had, but it's the same unknown result.

I know this exists and has a widescreen version as I dubbed it for myself when I had the disc. I own the unrated and wasn't happy with the prospect of double dipping, and felt the theater cut should've been included on the unrated set instead of it's own release in the first place.
