| Posted: | | | | I used to use Deep Discount DVD all the time... till they decided to expand and change their name to Deep Discount. With that expansion they really went downhill in my opinion. So I recently decided to stop using them. As of right now I am only using Amazon.com. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | My first choice is Columbiahouse.com (NOTE: It does require a membership commitment and you've to be careful they don't send you automatic director selections), but the 60% discounts I get average me out to approx 8-9 bucks a DVD if I order like 15-20 DVDs at a time (I just get to order a couple of times a year) - most of them I get are 2 disc special editions - both new releases and old classics). For DVDs that I don't get there I use Deepdiscount OR Amazon | | | |

| Posted: | | | | columbiahouse only works if you buy a minimum of about 5 dvds. and even then, the shipping charges can still add up pretty quick, especially if you have box sets or movies with more than 2 discs. Not everyone can afford 10+ dvds at a time. I generally stick to purchases from them when they have sales(free shipping, double or triple fun cash, or other discounts)
buying the large number of titles (especially during the extra fun cash sales) makes it more benificial because then you can use that to get some free or discounted titles so you get an extra savings. but if you don't buy a) large quantites at a time or b) a lot throughout the year from them you can get just as good deals from various other online stores (using columbia house can let you get new releases cheaper during the time period they are first released and still close to 'full price') without putting as much work/effort into it.

| Posted: | | | | I think if you're after bargains, you have to bargain-hunt. I don't think there's any (price-search) site out there that's comprehensive enough to cover all sites in its specified region, and despite all their claims, no site is always cheapest.
e.g. Found Vols 1 & 2 of Super Milk Chan Show for a friend at 75% off (at TheRightStuf.com; great since it's OOP), but their price on the Guu boxset was substantially higher than DVD Pacific.
If you want real bargains, hunt around. If you just want an ok/good price, rely on a single site. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

DeepDiscount, Rightstuf, Buy.com, and sometimes eBay if I am feeling adventurous. |

| Posted: | | | | I use find-dvd.co.uk. This site list the cheapest price for the dvd I'm after. Play.com is usually cheapest but I recently bought Firefly for £7.97 from Amazon. | | | "The hell I will", John Wayne |

| Posted: | | | | DeepDiscount is a good one. I've heard some say that the DVD's they received from them appeared to be "returned" merchandise, but I've never found that to be the case. dvdempire.com is another I like to use, though they don't always have the cheapest price, they ship VERY quickly and all of my dealings with them have been flawless. amazon.com is often overlooked for DVD deals, but right now they have a lot of DVD's selling for$5-$8. Locally, I like to keep tabs on barely used type stores and I sometimes stumble across a gem at Big Lots. | | | Don't Thread On Me! |

| Posted: | | | | I don't know why, I've thousands of them.........In my every/never ending search for Crime Drama, movie or TV or trying to complete a TV series I started.......... Almost everyday I first check Amazon's Today's Deal. If they have something I'm interested in, (if the price isn't shown I put it in the cart to see the price). Then I check with www.dvdpricesearch.com. And go from there.. I check around the what's new at some of the sites. I usually pre-order a lot from Amazon, I have the 2 day shipping deal. If later I find it cheaper, their easy to cancel. I've ordered from just about every place mentioned, but mostly from Amazon & Deep Discount. Then Best Buy, Buy.com. Best Prices, Pacific. Even from Amazon.ca, Barnes & Noble, Critic's Choice, Time-Life, Warner, Mhz Networks, NBC, Shout!, Criterion, Disney and even Walmart on-line) once. I have tags for all the places, I buy from. Any place I can find what I want. It takes to much time to sort through the racks at some store. I'm watching some European Crime Dramas now, Inspector Coliandro, Homicide Squad, Detective Montabano, The Octopus from Italy and Van Veeteren, Varg Veum, Wallander, Irene Huss from Scandinavia. They are very, very, good so far.
I do this since I don't have enough money to sponsor a INDY car or NASCAR racing team. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. | Posted: | | | | I use Amazon 90% of the time. I stopped using Best buy because their movie selection for the last 3 years has gone down hill real fast and their online prices are no better than Amazon. If I want Old movies I use Oldies.com, Big Lots, Wal-mart and Movie Stop. |
