Warner has given a sneak peek of its upcoming fall line-up of next-gen catalog releases, unveiling plans to bring 'JFK,' 'Casablanca' and a redux of '300' to Blu-ray this year. | | | Signature banned: Reason out of date... |

| Posted: | | | | It's not the first double dip. WB also released two versions of Troy and Full Metal Jacket. And I think other studios have double dipped as well. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | In case you haven't noticed at www.digitalbits.com yet, they have released photos of several forthcoming box sets (just follow the link at the end of this post). Quite excellent looking sets! I will be getting the complete Flintstones set (at least when it's coming to R2) and of course this one as blu-ray... Warner box-sets (at Digital Bits)edit: link corrected as digitalbits moved the article into their archive. | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. | Posted: | | | | From an SD perspective, I'm having trouble imagining just how much better Casablanca can look compared to the last 2-disk release. The paper products look cute an all, but I suspect I'll be saving my money. Congrats to any Blu folks, but for SD people this announcement is an excercise in repackaging. |

| Posted: | | | | Warner really does make excellent Blu Ray's of their older titles. I have the Dirty Harry Box (With harry's wallet).. The picture and sound is excellent.. So I have faith in them to restore any movie into a perfect blu ray. I share your reservations against B/W movies coming to blu though | | | Check out my Youtube channel under https://www.youtube.com/user/alittleolder |

I share your reservations against B/W movies coming to blu though I am very confident about Casablanca at least, as far B/W movies are concerned. It has been available as HD-DVD for a long time now, and that release got great reviews for the picture quality. It simply can't be any worse when it gets out as blu-ray. | | | Mika I hate people who love me, and they hate me. (Bender Bending Rodriguez) |
