| | Posted: | | | | Check out the Database section of our site where you'll find a new feature dedicated to gathering and categorizing links to sites around the web relating to DVDs in your collection.
Links can be added to any profile in your collection - Owned, Ordered, or Wish List. However, the links aren't tied to a specific profile. They're linked up by Production Year and Title or Original Title if that's set. So, add one link to "The Matrix" and it will be added to every variation - all 73 of them. O.o
Many links will be automatically recognized and categorized. Others will prompt for a category.
Please note that links for non-adult profiles must be "safe for work", including any site advertising. Also, note that we are not incuding direct links to individual reviews - only review aggregator sites.

Links can only be submitted by premium users. The links page allows premium users to rate links as Valid or Invalid. These ratings affect the link only, NOT the submitting user's reputation. Higher rated links are listed first and low rated links will be investigated for removal. Link ratings are tied to an individual profile/link relationship in order to allow identifying links that don't belong to a particular profile.
Also, submitted link counts show in the submitter's profile page. To see your own profile page you can now click on your username in the upper right.
Submitted links can be removed by the submitter if desired. Submitted links can't be recategorized but the submitter can remove the link and add it again. Does the title need to be in the public database to have this feature to work for the dvd? Or it works with our personal database since many of my dvd were not contributed to the online database for personnal reasons? |

With TV season sets can the link be to the main program site / other un-official site or will it have to be a link to the season its being linked too?

I just tried with one of my manual profiles and got this: Unable to submit links for this profile The selected profile is not in the online database. To add it to the online database, use the Online->Contribute option in DVD Profiler's main menu. |
