Exact, Foreign genre is now useless, since a "COUNTRY OF ORIGIN" field appeared. Except Country of Origin only supports a single country and lots of films are co-productions between a number of countries. You also can't filter by Country of Origin, like you could with the Foreign genre. I used to use the Foreign genre to filter all my World Cinema films and now I can't do that. Had to create a tag instead. |

Production studios (3, or 5 if you include financial backing studios)
Release studios (theatrical or broadcast; direct-to-video shouldn't have any, I think) (1 or 2?)
Localization studios (handles translation and dubbing) (1-3; probably need more than one to handle multiple languages)
DVD Production studio (studio that handle the creation and release of the DVD) (1)
Possible expansion on the DVD Production studios would be to include the company that did the menus (eg: Nightjar), and the company that did the actual encoding/final master (eg: SpeeDVD). Not hugely important, but sometimes interesting to know. |
