| Posted: | | | | Ok, now that I have Blu-Ray I have noticed that the sound is much better but I think I have it all set up wrong, as far as the settings on my receiver and subs. This is what I have and how I have it set up know, I could really use some help especially in the subwoofer setup. It seems that in seens like were the lighting strikes at the beggining of Ratatuillie, the wubs jsut bottom out and and make a nasty noise. So here is what I have and how its set up"
Sony STR-DE995- Sorround Receiver, the EQ is on and set to 2 on bass and 3.5 on Treble. The Dynami Compression is off and the effects are set to +1. I watch movies in Cinema B. My fronts are Yamaha CS-444, they are center channels but work great as fronts. The rear sorrounds are increased to 2.5 for the right and left and the center is incread to 4. The Subwoofer level is set to 0 or sometimes +1.
This receiver has a single subwoofer rca output and I went ahead and used a y splitter to make two and used monster cable subwoofer cables to run all the way to the two subs, at the subs I used another splitter to get a left and right for the input to the subwoofer. I have two subs one on each side fo the room. These are my subs:

These are the centers & fronts:

The sorrounds are small 2 year old Yamaha satellites.
I really need help as to what to set the receiver to and what to set the subs too, I think I can get a better experience out of this blu-ray and my setup if I tune it just right. I apreciate everyones help in advanced. David | | | Last edited: by davidperez |
