| Posted: | | | | Here's the thought Ken,
Current features when editing cast allows to copy/paste the whole cast on a profile with the paste option overwriting anything already there. With TV series we seem to be heading toward duplicating cast & crew at the top level if we want to profile the episodes at the disc levels.
It would be very quick & easy to do if we could take the entire cast from a child profile and append it to the master profile. All we need is an "Append Cast" option along with "Copy all cast" and "Paste all cast".
It would also allow us to quickly rebuild the entire cast of a master profile and make it identical to all the child profiles. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W | | | Last edited: by Touti |

Copy the cast/crew and instead of pasting into dvdprofiler, paste it into notepad/wordpad etc.
What you'll see is then some xml.
You can then edit the xml to be correct and then copy the lot from notepad/wordpad and paste it back into dvdprofiler.
That's what I did when I did a tv series. Worked like a dream. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

That's exactly what I planned on doing for the 4 sets I'm gonna work on this week but I think it would be nicer to have within DVD Profiler. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W |

Since he upgraded it to work with 3.x, I also use Tom Gaines cast and crew editor. You don't have to know how to use XML with it. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges.
