| Posted: | | | | Since we're actively working on a beta and the polls showed pretty much what I thought they would, I'll go ahead and make the request official (again).
We would like to add the following to the case type choices.
Steel Book Elite Thin Pak Add a check box for those wrap-around-open-on-two-ends "Slip Cover" (sleeves).
Change "Box Set" to "Slip Case" | | | Dan | | | Last edited: by Dan W |

A Radio Button, AFAIK, should always allow for one of at least two choices So, what is the other choice? So I believe you meant a checkbox which could be selected regardless of what case type had been selected in the dropdown? | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Change "Box Set" to "Slip Case" Does this mean every Digipak will suddenly change to being a box set? I've never yet seen a Digipak that doesn't have some kind of slipcase/box to stop it falling open. Or are we going to have lots of 'fun' trying to explain that a slipcase doesn't necessarily mean a slipcase? | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

I believe I have two digipaks without the Slip Case: Panic Room The Ben Stiller Show | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

I believe I have two digipaks without the Slip Case: Panic Room The Ben Stiller Show There is also... All in the Family: Season 1 (if I remember correctly) The Dead Zone: Season 1 All seasons of Everybody Loves Raymond (though a different style of digipaks) | | | Pete |

Change "Box Set" to "Slip Case" I don't think we should handle Slip Cover different than Slip Case. Either handle both as check boxes (resp. radio buttons) or not. |

So I believe you meant a checkbox which could be selected regardless of what case type had been selected in the dropdown? OK, so I should have said Check box. I have talked with ken and he understands what I meant. | | | Dan |

Or are we going to have lots of 'fun' trying to explain that a slipcase doesn't necessarily mean a slipcase? "Slip Case" and "Slip Cover" are not the same thing and typically, they are not used same way. They are clearly illustrated in the Case Types thread. Those Digipaks will still be listed as Digipaks and the Keep Cases will not change either. What will change is that we will click a checkbox to indicate that it came with a "Slipcover\Sleeve". If it didn't come with one then you don't click the Checkbox. | | | Dan |

But actually they are similar. Both are an outer package around the inner case (keep case or digipack). Therefore if Ken adds a mechanism to declare the outer and inner packaging, it should be used for both kinds. And the child profiles do not solve this, because there are also slip cases with single movie sets. |

| Posted: | | | | How about a little cover example preview feature or some examples in the online help of the program?
I am also a bit confused with all the options, especially with the box set that is a sleeve. Box sets can be really weird, i.e. the Matrix with the head or my Incredibles from Asia with the Jack-Jack doll in it (the picture on the database is horrible for that, by the way, I have to do a scan, the box set is huge so it is not easy at all, won't fit my scanner, that is for sure :-). | | | Last edited: by Bartman |
