IMO Anyone with 50 has spent at least $500 on DVDs and should plunk down the $30.00 for the program. I hope it works out for you.  |

You need to leave the fantasy world you live in and understand that profit is what allows every single person in the world to earn a living. Profit is what encourages development of ideas into practical applications. Profit is good. You make it sound as if it is evil incarnate. Grow up! |

That which is free remains the most important items in life: life itself, sunrises, family, sunsets, oceans, lakes, rivers, the land separating them... sky, fire, air, trees, flowers, grass... DVD Profiler is a luxury. You don't care for the free version? Don't use it. Want the nice version? Pay the (minimalist) charge to get it. We make choices... selling our souls for megabucks, working hard for a reasonable income, sitting back on the dole. A night of barhopping/pubcrawling or buying a book or DVD. Repairing the roof or buying a car. Everything is choice & compromise, whether you are dirt poor or filthy rich, or like most of us. | | | If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

| | Posted: | | | | Funny. I've been saying for a while that some features should only be available to paying customers (particularly profile submissions) and was always howled down. Now that it has happened, nearly everyone seems happy about it.
Besides, the local database use is still free. Just be thankful non-payers didn't get cut off entirely from the on-line database.
BTW, I would have been happy to pay an upgrade fee. Version 3 being a free upgrade is just icing on the cake!
