Trouble installing DVD Mobile on Ipaq 3830...

Ok,

I have an Ipaq 3830 with Pocket PC 2002 and Active Sync 4.5.  I'm trying to install the .Net CF 2.0 that comes with the DVD Mobile program, but I keep getting an error,

Setup failed
The file "\Windows\AppMgr\Install\Microsoft .NET CF 2.0.CAB" is not a valid Windows CE Setup file.

Any ideas?

I get the same exact error message on iPAQ 3835.

What gives?

Are you running the setup on your desktop or Ipaq, the setup needs to be installed from the desktop. You sync the ipaq and then run the setup program on the desktop.

Yes, running the setup on the desktop yields the error message on the Pocket PC after install tries installing .NET CF 2.0.

Take a look at the Specs.  It doesn't look like it supports Pocket PC 2002.

Looks like that's the case.  .Net CF 2.0 isn't compatible with Pocket PC 2002.  The Readme.txt file needs to be updated on the mobile installation file.

Upgraded to PPC 2003 from eBay seller download for $3.00. 

Works like a champ now!!!
