| Posted: | | | | logging in titles this week, about half done, most annoying is those snapper cases, didn't realize I had so many of them, it's almost like they're breeding somewhere in the dark corners of the abyss where we keep the "bad" movies. so now I have a list of things that get on my nerves with these addicting little shiny discs. 1 Snapper cases 2 Cardboard outer sleeves 3. sticky security strips (on three sides no less) 4. glue from the sticky security strips 5. DVD's with no features (not even a trailer on some) please feel free to add to this list, just had to vent. thanks, Dave. |

| Posted: | | | | Here's the list we all came up with on the old board. 25 things we hate about Snappers 01: PITA to Scan 02: Extremely difficult (if not impossible) to replace when damaged. 03: Too wide, they make us look sloppy in front of our guests 04: Cheap look 05: Don't match other cases 06: Look stupid in your collection 07: Fragile 08: Feels Cheap 09: Can't withstand a shot in a blender 10: Can't be stacked 11: Damage other cases 12: Bad protection of DVD 13: Card pops out sometimes when they're snapped 14: Stickers leave damages or traces. 15: Cannot be closed anymore when they decide to stop snapping. 16: They don't have the new DVD smell of keep cases. 17: Some have roughty texture that gives goose bumps. 18: The Flap catches other cases. 19: People hate you when you give them as gift. 20: Can't be converted to Keep Case without losing some of it. 21: Cover fades and wears 22: Cannot be cleaned 23: They don't include any "Goodies" 24: Maybe develop wobble and/or wibble and/or ripple (Whatever these are 25: And 1 thing we like Nice tape. Double sided DVD's with print so small you can't read if it is side A or side B and end up putting the fullscreen side -version on first. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Besides hating snappers (cause they just suck!), I also hate when the DVD insert has not been properly "inserted" and gets all bend or torn. 2 DVDs I recently bought and 7 overall now are messed up. Dead Man and Slither being the last. Also one of the Masters of Horror did not have the collectible card in there, luckily the store exchanged that one.
Did you ever receive a DVD which is scratched up but was still fixed in the case? Happened to Scrubs Season 3. The store said I would have to contact the manufacturer. Any chance they ll exchange the disc? | | | - Life is just a form of animated death. | | | Last edited: by katharsis |

| Posted: | | | | I bought this dvd once, brought it home... opened the shrinkwrap, peeled away the security stickers, opened it and Lo and Behold!.. No dvd! It was just a keep case. I got it exchanged but thought that a very weird thing.
One thing I hate about snappers is some of them have little flappy things you have to open on each end before opening the case. | | | "It's gonna be pee-pee pants city here real soon!"—Negan |

There are a couple of Keep Cases with flappy things to flip open before you can open the case too... really annoying (especially when you don't notice and look like an idiot trying to open the thing for (what seems like) ages! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I hate multi DVD keepcases, where one keep case holds 4-6 DVD's. For the love of god, they already invented thinpak's ages ago Probably 30% of these are broken before it even finds its place on my shelve. F*x is using those. Then i absolutely hate when they change the casetype / layout completely in the middle of seasons with TV series. Just bought 4400 second season, just to find out it wasnt localized to finnish as the first season was When a distributor cant be arsed to make covers match with the country, their in the wrong business. I'm sure the manufacturers can do copys all by themselves, without the need to pay for that one extra logo. | | | Last edited: by whispering |
