| Posted: | | | | Hi!
The function "Lookup By Title" does not work correctly! First of all, it does not search substrings, but you must enter the exact beginning of the title or it will not find anything - horrible! For example, if you search for "Lady", it will not find "The Lady in the Water", etc.
Secondly, if the title contains special characters (like the german ä, ö, ü, etc.) it doesn't find the title either.
So the complete search function is absolutley unusable! This must be fixed quickly or DVDP is completely useless for me!
I'm using the latest Beta, but the previous versions had the same problems!
Regards! |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, I have the same thing here - perhaps wildcards can be used, I don't know??
I did a search for 'hard' but didn't get 'Die Hard' come up, just all the films that begin with 'Hrd.....' like you said. |

| Posted: | | | | The program is completely unusable without a working search function. How am I supposed to find a DVD in a collection of more than 1300?
Please fix this Ken!!! |

| Posted: | | | | The accented characters issue is a bug and will be fixed. Substring searching of the local collection titles can be done, but will be slower. Substring searching of the online list may be too slow, but we'll see. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Hi Ken!
THanks for your answer! I think substring searching (of the local collection - isn't this the only one in DVDPM?) is one of the most important features of all - as I said, DVDPM is unusable without it!
Take a look at BevelPocketMovieList, which I used so far. The "Find" function works perfectly and very fast. It's actually rather a "Filter" function, because it filters all items that contain the matching string - that's great! I'd like to see that in the "My Collection" list of DVDPM, because this would be the mose convenient way to find titles.
Thanks! |

| Posted: | | | | Ah, I'm not the only one who thinjs that de mobile-profiler is useless (because of the lacking searchfunction). I had assumed it would work like the searching in BevelPocketMovieList. Hope it wil be implemented soon in the correct way, then I can use the stuff I payed for! |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, me too! I paid for DVDPM only to find out it's completely useless! If the search function is not implemented correctly soon, I'll demand my money back! After all, the search function is THE MOST IMPORTANT function for collections larger than a few dozens. The way it is implemented now is a disgrace... |

| Posted: | | | | That's great news indeed Ken - will be good to see a search by title based on substrings and the like. You the man!! |

| Posted: | | | | Well, it is June 11th and I just installed 1.0.4.119 Mobile version and Title search is worse...it now finds nothing at all.
The previous version would find titles if you entered the first word but now the Title search finds nothing in the Owned data, it only finds matches on-line.
What the heck happened? I'm using Windows Mobile 5.0 on a Treo 700w. | | | Last edited: by Dagmandt |

| Posted: | | | | I've got the same problem. It's not possible to search for a title, the only fing that works is the search for a EAN Number. That really sucks. I hope that problem get's solved soon, because the programm it's selve is quite good. |
