| Posted: | | | | Hi everyone, I have a 4 axis 6040Z Chinese CNC router, (I have never used the 4th axis). I have been using this machine for about 2 years now and I have not had any problems so far, I have made a lot of keychains, wooden letters a lot of stuff) My problem is this, recently I was working on a project of 300 keychains, I machine them in batches of 20 pieces (about 2 1/2 hours) I do 2 batches a day (because it is not my main job). All of a sudden my Z axis started to miss steps like crazy and messed up the whole batch. I noticed that after turning on the controller I could easily move the Z stepper motor knob by hand and I immediately knew something was wrong. I thought it was a broken motor and after several forum investigations I tried switching the 4th axis stepper driver to the Z axis stepper driver and everything went back to normal. The same thing happened today, but on the X axis and now I am completely out of work and need a quick solution (if there is one). My stepper driver is: https://www.oyostepper.com/goods-111-Digital-Stepper-Driver-10-42A-20-50VDC-for-Nema-17-23-24-Stepper-Motor.html |
