| Posted: | | | | Hello,
Because the database is build by meanly the users, and everybody named the persons as they see fit. For Example Cuba Gooding, Jr. other just type in Cuba Gooding or Cubo Gooding Jr. (without the , ).
If you want the use DVD Profiler optimal, you have to replace the actor in every movie with his role. Yet what I would like to see, that you have 2 listings of actors/crew members, and that you here can say, List 1 Cuba Gooding has to become (in the second list) Cuba Gooding, Jr. and that in every movie this actor would be replaced automaticly.
Also would I like to see, that there would be an (maybe a separete menu "Screen") where you could sort the actors in everyway possible, to find any double ones and there , you could do the same ase above.
Also Would I like to see a more apropiate cleaning system. Not only the covers, yet also the unused actors/ Crew members.
And also I would like to see, that you could name the Boxtitle yourself and that it is not named after the first titel you have added.
And also I would like to see a link between actors and crew member. So that you could see, if you click on an actror (Mel Gibson) the movies he's played in and the ones he has directed.
That's al for now,
Thanks,
Hans |

| Posted: | | | | I'm trying to relace the double crews and actors members. And I see, that's almost undoable. All members have an field for First-, Middle and last name. Yet, often people only use the firstname field. Maybe it's an option for future use, that if an actor/crew has more then one name (example Mell Gibson = 2 names, Ice T = one name), that you could force to use the first and last name. Herewith you'll exclude lots of double ones.
If the user added a new film, maybe it's an option that automaticly, a list pops up, with the actors/crew names, where automaticly a search is generated when you type in a name.
Futher more, to sort out the double ones, you could created another part in DVD-Profiler, where you could (only in memory) create one name (I mean) firstname + middlename + lastname (if one of them doesn't excist zero characters place) So that if the user only use the first name to add a actor (Mel Gibson) or he's using the firstname + lastname (Mel Gibson) the list will show Mel Gibson regardless how the user has added him. If you have this 1-name, you can sort on this and behind that you would let see, in rows, the firstname, middlename and lastname. If you have suche a list, you then could, reassign the wrong one to the right one and change every movie (at once) accordenly. This could be manualy and automaticly being done. Yet, if automaticly the user should have the option to aprove such a change, if wanted. Otherwise everything should go automaticly. Yet, in the option part (or at the start of this all), the user should say how he wish to do so. |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you Goodguy,
With this, it makes things lots easier to correct the double ones in DVD-profiler. If it's you, who writen it, I wish to say, you've done a great shop.
Thanks again,
