| Posted: | | | | I'm running DVD Profiler 3.0.1 Build 1104.
I cannot add by disc id. There is no tab for "add by disc id" when I tried to add a disc. I did check Option/System and did specify a DVD for my system.
What happened ? Did not have any problem in the old DVD Profiler 2.x |

How do I paste image/screenshot into my post ? You need to have the image hosted on the internet already, then link to it using the "Insert an Image" button (the mountain one). If you don't have a webhosting account, then you can upload it to a service like Photobucket and link to there. | | | Andy

| Posted: | | | | I found the solution. I have AnyDVD running on my PC which allows me to watch any region DVD on my PC. Somehow this program intefered with DVD Profiler 3 (was OK with DVD Profiler 2.x). As soon as I quit AnyDVD, the "Add Inserted Disc" shows up. |

IIRC DVD Profiler banned the use of AnyDVD for DiscIDs (because it caused corruption of them) but that only affected the DiscID part of the Disc Info section, not the 'Add by disc ID' which used a different (non-unique generating) algorithm. AIUI they now use the same algorithm for both to ensure the DiscID is unique so have prevented its use while AnyDVD is running. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
