Barton Writer: Robert Lees (Screenwriter), Frederic I. Rinaldo (Screenwriter), John Grant (Screenwriter) Rating: NR Length: 83 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Mono, Commentary: Dolby Digital: Mono Subtitles: English, French Stars:Bud Abbott as Chick Lou Costello as Wilbur Lon Chaney, Jr. [Lon Chaney] as Lawrence Talbot Bela Lugosi as Dracula Glenn Strange as Monster Lenore Aubert as Sandra Mornay Plot:Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein continues the horror-comedy series and features "the boys" with their usual quota of familiar routines providing the backbone of the plot by becoming Count Dracula's victim for a brain transplant. Lon Chaney, Jr. appears as the Wolf Man along with Dracula played by Bela Lugosi and Glenn Strange as the Frankenstein monster. Abbott and Costello, as railroad baggage clerks, receive a strange shipment—the last remains of Dracula and Frankenstein's monster. But this deadly duo is still very much alive. So when the shipment arrives at the House of Horrors, the Monsters are not in their crates but have disappeared to a secret hideaway island. Blamed for the disappearance, Abbott and Costello follow their trail to the island where not only do they meet up with Dracula (Bela Lugosi) and the Monster (Glenn Strange), but a Mad Scientist (Charles Bradstreet) who wants to switch Costello's brain with that of the Monster. With everyone chasing each other, the Wolf Man (Lon Chaney, Jr.) shows up to scare them all. In the end everything works out: Costello finds romance and the Monsters find their final resting places…or do they? Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Featurettes Gallery Production Notes Closed Captioned My Thoughts: Whether you are a fan of horror or comedy... this is a must see. You just can't go wrong with this classic comedy team. Not only do you get the genious of Abbott and Costello... you get the likes of Lon Chaney, Jr. and Bela Lugosi recurring ther famous monster roles. This film is just so much fun... more then worth the time put in to watch it. A must see! My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

It's Abbott and Costello... what is not to like about these films? Though it is slightly different then most of their other films that I have seen. in this one they went more with physical comedy then all the jokes. It was almost like I was watching Three Stooges instead of Abbott and Costello. Even with that said... this one is well worth the time put in to watch it. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

To help him, the creepy count calls on some old friends: the weird Wolfman, grotesque Gill-Man, mildewed Mummy and freaky Frankenstein. As the ghoulish group gets closer to the amulet, it's up to THE MONSTER SQUAD, headquartered in the local tree house, to pool its questionable resources and stop the monster mayhem! Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Gallery Interviews Closed Captioned My Thoughts: The Monster Squad is an old favorite of mine. I have watched it countless times and found it to always be good for a few laughs. The lines "the Wolfman has nards!" and "Well there is Steve but he doesn't count!" gets me laughing every time I watch this movie. I like how they have all the classic monsters in this movie. They made the story fun and interesting at the same time. This movie would make a good introduction for kids that are curios about horror movies. If by chance you never seen this movie I would definitely recommend it to all. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

Trick 'R Treat takes the Creepshow/Tales from the Crypt approach to nefarious new depths with four interwoven tales set on Halloween night: a high school principal (DYLAN BAKER) moonlights as a vicious serial killer; the quest of a young virgin (ANNA PAQUIN) for that special someone takes a gruesome turn; a group of teens carries out a cruel prank with disastrous consequences; and a cantankerous old man (BRIAN COX) battles a mischievous trick-or-treating demon. Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Storyboard Comparisons BD-Live Digital Copy Animated Short "Trick 'R Treat: Season's Greetings" My Thoughts: I always loved anthology horrors. While it is technically an anthology horror... it isn't the way I know anthologies at least. Instead of having 3 or 4 separate short stories along with a wraparound storyline... this one is done more like a regular movie with all the stories intertwined with each other. I think this makes for a nice change of pace. I enjoyed all the stories in this one. I would have to say the girls finding dates for the party was probably my favorite of them. I feel comfortable recommending this one to any horror fan. Well worth the time put in to watch it. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

And to commemorate its legacy as one of the greatest horror films of all time, John Carpenter's 1978 masterpiece is now presented in this ultimate fan edition. This Blu-ray features a newly remastered HD transfer supervised by cinematographer Dean Cundey, all-new Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio AND original mono soundtracks, an audio commentary reuniting director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis, an hour-long Curtis featurette, and much more. The immortal original is back and now more terrifying than ever. This is the night Michael Myers comes home like you've never seen or heard it before! Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Radio Spots My Thoughts: This is of course a classic horror that I must watch every year around this time. I normally like to save the Halloween movies for Halloween day... but now that I have the entire collection in this awesome blu-rsy set there is no way I would get them all in within the one day so decided to watch them through-out the month. This is of course the one that started it all... and finding out from one of the featurettes on the disc... a movie that was shot very quickly and cheaply. You would never know it watching the movie. I feel they all did an awesome job on this movie! While it would be hard for me to believe... if there is any horror fan out there that never seen this movie... I highly recommend checking it out ASAP! My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

As he gets closer to his main target, Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) discovers the chilling mystery behind the crazed psychopath's actions. Written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, Halloween II is a spine-tingling dark ride into the scariest night of the year...more of the night "He" came home. Extras:Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Gallery Radio Spots My Thoughts: This one I like... as it takes over where the first one left off. Video: Widescreen 1.78:1 Audio: English: Dolby TrueHD: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: English, French Stars:Hal Holbrook as Henry Northrup Adrienne Barbeau as Wilma Northrup Fritz Weaver as Dexter Stanley Leslie Nielsen as Richard Vickers Carrie Nye as Sylvia Grantham E. G. Marshall as Upson Pratt Plot:Macabre masters Stephen King and George A. Romero conjure up five shocking yarns, each a virtuoso exercise in the ghouls-and-gags style of classic '50s horror comics. A murdered man emerges from the grave for Father's Day cake. A meteor's ooze makes everything...grow. A professor selects his wife as a snack for a crated creature. A scheming husband plants two lovers up to their necks in terror. A malevolent millionaire with an insect phobia becomes the prey of a cockroach army. Add the spirited performances of a fine cast (Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson, E.G. Marshall and King himself) and the ghoulish makeup wizardry of Tom Savini. Let the Creepshow begin! Extras:Scene Access Feature Trailers My Thoughts: This is one of my favorite anthology movies. Sure... some of it is right silly but... even so for the most part all the segments are just fun to watch. I think my favorite segment was the one where "A scheming husband plants two lovers up to their necks in terror."... this was the one where Leslie Neilson buried the couple to their necks in the sand on the beach... waiting for the high tide to come. That one then followed closely by the "crated creature" Fluffy. My least favorite has to be the last segment... the one about the bugs. I mean it was ok... just nothing special. But of course I enjoyed all the segments. Normally it is the wrap around story that loses my attention. But this is one of the few that I actually enjoy. Though I must say... I am disappointed in the extras on the blu-ray... nothing other then the Theatrical Trailer. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1 Subtitles: English, French, Spanish Stars:Miguel Ferrer as Richard Dees Julie Entwisle as Katherine Blair Dan Monahan as Merton Morrison Michael H. Moss as Dwight Renfield John Bennes as Ezra Hannon Beverly Skinner as Selida McCamon Plot:From Stephen King, the master of horror on page and screen, comes a new tale of relentless terror. Of a modern-day vampire who flies by night, and lands too close to home ... for comfort. For Richard Dees (Miguel Ferrer) facts are always stranger than fiction. Every headline is a dead-line. Serial Killers, UFO abductions, tales of molestation, mayhem and murder. To some the tales are unbelievable -- but his faithful readers believe. And now there's a new story. The Night Flier. What is it that flies by night in a dark-winged Cessna, lands at secluded airports and brutally murders local residents? Dees begins to follow the unknown killer in a Cessna of his own, uncovering clues that reveal a pilot more terrifying than he could ever have imagined. A creature so untamed by human nature, that their final confrontation will leave no body unbloodied. Extras:Scene Access Feature Trailers Production Notes Closed Captioned My Thoughts: Stephen King's take on a vampire legend. Being a vampire movie alone gives it a good chance I will enjoy it... and I definitely did. But it is definitely not the best vampire movie I ever seen. Like It did seem a bit weird... the idea of a vampire flying around in an airplane everywhere he goes. There was a couple things did I liked about this movie though... they way they made Dwight Renfield (the vampire) look... as well as the effect the vampire's blood had when he effected Richard Dees with it. I really liked the use of Black and White in that scene. It really enhanced the spookiness of the scene. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

This one is based on not one... but 2 true stories. The life of Julia Child as well as on Julie Powell. An inspiring writer who wrote a blog about making all the recipes in the Julia Child cook book in one year. The one thing I didn't care for is Julia Child's reaction to what Julie was doing. But I guess it can't always go as expected when what you are watching is a true story... as life does not always go good. Worth the time put in to watch it.... though there is better movies out there. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

I got it because it stars Selena Gomez who I used to watch in "Wizards of Waverly Place" with Brittany. When I first bought the disc (last year) I watched the trailer. And lets just say I was happy I got it so cheap! As I didn't have very high hopes of it being a good film. Which is why it took me so long to watch it. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Sure I have seen better movies... but they made it easy to care about the characters. The storyline was interesting and fun. Sure the movie is geared to a younger crowd but I found it well worth the time put in to watch it. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5
