Extras:Scene Access Bonus Trailers Featurettes BD-Live Digital Copy movieIQ My Thoughts: I always thought the trailer for this one looked good... so was happy when I found it cheap in a used store. I found when I watched it that I enjoyed it quite a bit. It has a fun storyline and I like the cast and their characters. The only thing I didn't care for here was the ending itself. The ending wasn't bad enough to ruin the film, but it did have me shaking my head. It was as if they knew the story they knew the story they wanted to tell but just didn't know how to go about ending it... and felt like they basically went with the first thing that popped in their mind. Extras:Scenevalg Feature Trailers Dokumentar My Thoughts: I finally got around to watch this one after having it in my unwatched pile forever. And i actually enjoyed it somewhat. For me the movie could be a real classic if the story wasnt all over the place. And the movie seemed a bit rushed some places. But other than that, the movie had some great moments, some big names. Some good acting. All in all, a decent thriller. Not great, but not the worst i've seen either. Guess i maby expected just a bit more. My Rating: 4/6 |

Even tho the movie hasnt a story or have alot of great actors, they made it work! Robert Redford was all alone in the middle of nowhere on a boat. The American government thinks Ramius is planning to attack, but a lone CIA analyst, Jack Ryan (Baldwin), has a different belief: Ramius is planning to defect. But Ryan has only a few precious hours to locate him and prove it – because the entire Russian Naval and Air Commands are trying to find him, too. With international peace at stake and time running out ... The Hunt is On! Extras:Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Featurettes Digital Copy My Thoughts: After receiving the BD version sat down to watch. A movie that I have always enjoyed and last watched on DVD. Connery and Baldwin played their roles extremely well. There are many things missing from the book, as there is in any transfer to the big screen, but the movie itself was well done. The BD transfer was excellent. I found this movie to be just as much fun as I remembered it to be. A good solid '80s comedy. One that I would recommend everyone to see at least once. This film had me literally laugh out loud more then once. The film has a lot of familiar faces in it as well. So if you have never seen this one... put it on your list. And if you have seen it before... maybe it is time to revisit this classic comedy. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5

Set in Russia in 1927, this much-loved, hilarious Mel Brooks comedy classic is the tale of a former aristocrat (Ron Moody) who is now a Russian clerk under the new Soviet regime. When he learns that his dying mother-in-law sewed a fortune of family jewels into one of the twelve dining room chairs, he sets off across Russia to find it – with an opportunist (Frank Langella), a priest (Dom DeLuise) and his former servant (Mel Brooks) all in equal pursuit. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Mono Subtitles: English, French Stars:David Soul as Ben Mears James Mason (1909) as Richard K. Straker Lance Kerwin as Mark Petrie Bonnie Bedelia as Susan Norton Lew Ayres as Jason Berk Julie Cobb as Bonnie Sawyer Plot:With Salem’s Lot, a blood-curdling shocker based on the novel by Stephen King, director Tobe Hooper (Poltergeist) sends the time-honored vampire legend soaring on bat wings into the modern era. Sinister events bring together a writer (David Soul) fascinated with an old hilltop house, a suave antiques dealer (James Mason) whose expertise goes beyond bric-a-brac and the dealer’s mysterious, pale-skinned "partner" (Reggie Nalder). The solid supporting cast of vampire victims and fighters includes Bonnie Bedelia, Lew Ayres, Elisha Cook, Ed Flanders, George Dzundza, Lance Kerwin, Geoffrey Lewis and Marie Windsor. It’s hard to keep the undead down. And so easy to be scared in Salem’s Lot. Extras:Scene Access Feature Trailers Closed Captioned My Thoughts: I have loved this one since the first time I saw it back in my teen years. Of course this is an adaptation from the book that Stephen King wrote. Who of course is my favorite horror writer. For a movie that is just over 30 years old... this movie has some decent scares in it. I personally haven't been scared from it since I was a kid... but I do remember it would scare my wife every time we watched it. A couple of my favorite spooky parts in this movie is .. 1. The kid vampire scratching at his friends window.... pleading with him to let him in. 2. The grave digger rocking in the rocking chair... looks over at you and hisses at you with his eyes glowing I am really enjoying watching this one again. As for comparing this one to the remake... that is something I don't normally like to do... but sometimes it is just too hard not to. I really like both versions... like them both a lot! but I think I have to say I enjoy this one the most between the 2. I don't know why... but to me this one is a pure classic when it comes to vampire movies... it is one of the ones to beat! Needless to say... this is one I would always highly recommend to any horror fan... and an absolute must see for any fan of vampire movies. Now... please lets see a dvd release of Return to Salem's Lot! It has been so long since I seen the sequel I can't remember anything other then it's existence. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5
